BurnVic events are for everyone. However, some people are unemployed, are single parents, have a disability… or all sorts of things that might make it financially impossible for them to attend these events.

So, we want to help those people out. For example, tickets to the Otherworld cost $80, and we are offering subsidies from $1-$80, depending on what people in financial need can pay.

To apply for a subsidized ticket, complete the Registration Form and choose “I would like to apply for a subsidy ticket”. A new box will appear that will ask you to explain how much you are able to pay, and why you need the subsidy. Please make sure to explain why you need the subsidy.

There is a MAXIMUM budget for the subsidies – if you don’t really need to have your ticket subsidized, you may deprive someone else of the chance to come to Otherworld. The subsidy is based on the honour system.

There is only a small budget available to help people come to Otherworld – so if you are feeling generous, please donate to the ticket subsidy! Any funds you donate will exist in the subsidy budget until they are spent. These funds will never be used for anything else.

The best way to donate is when you purchase your next event ticket. In the ticket purchase process, you will see a donation box in the Subsidy section. Simply choose an amount of cash you would like to donate, complete the rest of the form, and choose submit. The amount you entered will be added to the total cost of ticket(s) purchased.
