In celebration of a free-spirited family who travel to entertain and spread their music, we bring you... Carnivale 2011: The Gypsy Caravan!

This is a two-part event! Part one (Victoria Event Centre) is a VARIETY SHOW featuring live performances by volunteers from the Burning Man community and friends [Volunteer to Perform]! Part two (The Sunset Room) is a DANCE PARTY featuring volunteer DJs playing dance music. Both parts of the event will feature visual art made by members of the community. Tickets are on sales NOW to attend the variety show and dance party portions of the event!

Art grants will be available to cover the consumable costs of art you wish to bring to the event. [Apply for an Art Grant]

Funds from the event will go to support the Victoria Effigies Project.

VARIETY SHOW: (Only 250 tickets available!)

Show up at 8:00 for chill music and a social time! At 10:00PM, the live performances begin! We're looking for all kinds of performers! Past performers have ranged from Belly Dance and Burlesque to fiddle music and more! Don't be late! (NOTE: You must show up at Part I before 11PM in order to get your wristband to attend Part II of the event.)

DANCE PARTY: (Only 100 tickets available! THIS PART OF THE EVENT IS SOLD OUT! VARIETY SHOW TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE!)

As the first portion of the evening ends, we will gather in front of the Event Centre and walk together to The Sunset Room in a Gypsy Caravan! The second portion of the evening will feature electronic dance music and live VJs! Not everyone will be able to attend the dance party, so please get your tickets early! (NOTE: You must show up at Part I before 11PM in order to get your wristband to attend Part II of the event.)

In the spirit of community-driven art, you are asked to contribute your time, art and performances! All attendees are asked to volunteer time toward this event, as part of setup, door, a performance, and art contributions! Art grants are available if you would like to create art for this event!
